Delivery of the first ever built Car Carrier in Vietnam 18.05.2010

On April 29, 2010, the first ever built Car Carrier in Vietnam was delivered from Vinashin’s Ha Long shipyard to its owner Ray Car Carriers of Israel. The vessel has been chartered to NYK Line for transportation of various types of vehicles and has a capacity of 4,900 cars and was named Victory Leader.

 “The Victory Leader is the most advanced car carrier which was designed in a high standard of outfitting and is equipped with the best of ro-ro equipment, machinery, hydraulics, accommodation and atomization”, says Mr Omri Dagul, Executive Vice President of Ray Shipping Ltd.

The ro-ro equipment for this vessel was contracted to TTS in June 2007 and includes delivery of design and key components for external ramps consisting of quarter and side ramps, internal and external doors as well as two levels of liftable car decks with movable ramps for transition between the different decks.  The TTS delivery also includes a complete hydraulic and electric operation system for the ro-ro equipment.

TTS has a long relation with Ray Car Carriers through deliveries of ro-ro equipment to their long series of car carriers built, starting at Gdynia with a long series of more than 30 PCTC, further on to Uljanik where nine vessels have been built and presently newbuildings of further car carriers going on at Ha Long shipyard in Vietnam as well as Hyundai Mipo Dockyard in Ulsan, Korea.

After this first delivery to a Vietnamese built car carrier TTS has deliveries to further vessels in Vietnam and another ten vessels being built in Korea, all for Ray Car Carriers.
